Café des Artistes is a Belgian-owned restaurant located up a narrow path up from the Ubud main road. The quaint café features semi indoor and garden dining settings, and serves western and Indonesian dishes alongside some Belgian as well. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is fit for couples, circle of friends, and families with children. A short stroll from the Ubud Art Market and the Puri Saren royal palace, its quiet and isolated site makes it an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine or a romantic, candlelit dinner. As its name suggests, Café des Artistes hosts regular new-art exhibitions every six weeks. Here, young local and expatriate artists fill the restaurant’s walls with their unique and innovative artworks, which are available for purchase.
