Cire at the Alila Villas Uluwatu is an ultra-modern Western restaurant focused on using organic regional produce. Cire’s Executive Chef Stefan Zijta was formerly from two-Michelin starred Vermeer in Amsterdam, and now at Cire he and his team present contemporary Western cuisine prepared with regional produce. ‘Cire’ refers to a process of waxing or polishing, paying tribute to the Balinese batik stamps which decorate the restaurant. Guests in search of a discreet fine-dining experience will not only be impressed by the exquisitely plated dishes, but will also be pleased with the restaurant’s smart configuration, with the addition of cleverly placed screens and art pieces to allow each party the exclusiveness of their own private dining area.
